Still no major squalls, no severe rain... Slightly disappointing, truth be told. We've turned off the weather channel and are now watching a movie. Around 7:30 George & Betty came out to check on things and we chatted with them for a good while. They said they were telling everyone they were only staying because WE were here - and we told them we're telling everyone we're staying because THEY were here! Ha ha! Here they are - our heros:
Gary and George spotted this little guy swimming in the slip and we grabbed our very efficient Tweety Bird net and scooped him out of the water.
Note, this is a salt water crab. He's not supposed to be over here in the fresh water! George said the marina folks have seen an alligator in the water - and we *may* have spotted it earlier today, but can't confirm.
Other than that, there were some ominous looking clouds overhead, but as of 8:45 we haven't experienced anything close to hurricane force winds or rain. Stay tuned!
