This palm tree is barely bent.
This water is only mildly rippling.
So, on a lighter note, Gary and I were hamming it up a little - trying to create dramatic photos like this one - I call it "holding on for dear life!"
Not very convincing. How about this one, called "Gone with the Wind" -
So how sad is that? C'mon Hanna! Hit me with your best shot!
OK, not really. I don't want to tempt fate, and I'm all about getting through this without too much drama.
Anyhow, in case the power goes out the gates lock automatically. I know this because I've been locked in before which really freaked me out, and this afternoon Captain Bob, the head honcho at the marina, reconfirmed this fact when he stopped by to check on us this afternoon. So with the agreement of George & Betty, we decided we would make sure we were not locked in, in case of an emergency.
This is Gary's handy-work, complete with bungee suspension system. He's so smart.
Well, if anything happens I'll be back online - as long as we still have internet service. If our power goes out there's always the generator. The loss of wireless internet service is another story!
Cheerio!
