Live from Myrtle Beach we are holed up on Sublimate awaiting Tropical Storm Hanna. Good Day everyone.

Currently we have normal to slightly elevated wind speeds, although it's hard to tell exactly because the Marina has taken down the flags from the flag pole - which is the normal non-scientific wind gauge for this amateur meteorologist.
We are seeing think bands of stratocumulus opacus clouds according to our cloud

chart, which indicate an immediate threat of bad weather from a sprinkle to heavy precipitation. We have seen moments of sprinkles in the past hour, with patches of blue sky peaking through between layers of clouds earlier. Currently there is no blue sky visible from our vantage point, but that is not a deterrent for a few golfers who just HAD to get in that last round of golf before the storm.

The boat is well secured and not going anywhere without the dock. Final preparations on the boat this afternoon include the snapping of all window plastic and the removal of heavy, breakable objects from counter tops.

We will now return to regular programming. More later on deteriorating conditions.
